Leveling Up the Stage Design
Brand & Design
The Client & Event
Annual customer conference for 850 attendees at the Glasshouse in New York City for a leader in digital analytics. This SaaS provider empowers businesses with the insights they need to understand customers and deliver seamless experiences at scale.
The Challenge/Goal
Our challenge was to create a compelling, large impact keynote stage design for the General Sessions that worked within the room configuration and didn’t break the budget. The conference theme merged gaming elements with the idea of “Leveling Up” and our creative team was asked to develop a range of sceneographies including stage, production, lighting and furniture elements that incorporated both historical and futuristic video game designs.
The Results
RockIt Events researched many industry partners who were known for crafting immersive live environments, captivating audiences, and making a bold impact with dynamic scenographies. We determined that modular systems, available in a variety of patterns, were a comprehensive approach to the stage design. By leaning into the gaming theme of the conference, we selected a modular system that resembled a circuit board. We arranged the panels to flank the main stage screen, with three on each side, staggered in cascading heights– emphasizing the concept of "leveling up”. With the help of our AV partners, we were then able incorporate up-lighting to these columns that mirrored the brand colors and played with the other surrounding lighting elements. This created a dynamic visual effect onstage that complemented, but never distracted from the main speakers and content.
